Load forecasting is a critical technique in the decision-making process for the proper management of different aspects of the electricity distribution network.
The load forecasting is a complex problem, related among others with the prediction of climatic variables.
This project is articulated with a similar one ("Energy Intelligent Management and Optimization"), aimed at developing intelligent systems that address the problem of Peak Shaving, to reduce peak electricity consumption without affecting, or affecting as little as possible, the client or the equipment.
This project proposed the design and development of algorithms for predicting, at different levels and time scales, variables of interest for the problem of Peak Shaving.
This approach also allowed determining inconsistencies in the reports of the sensors, comparing the received values with the expected ones according to the estimation system.
