The aim of the project is to design and build prototypes of intelligent robots for application in industry. Currently a line follower robot (named Greenbot) was developed using two combined optical devices: infrared sensors and a video camera. In this project, interdisciplinary work is coordinated among the engineering areas of mechanics, electronics and computing, that allows acquiring know-how in the robotics area and developing platforms that allow implementing and testing intelligent algorithms.
